UPPER EXTREMITIES

I recommend this class to all people who have shoulder, elbow or wrist problems. This will help you tremendously. I will improve your range of motion, your mobility and flexibility. We will be working on rebuilding strength and sensitivity. Together we can recover lost movement.

 

LOWER EXTREMITIES

In this class you will learn all about healthy movement of your legs. You will find out how muscles in your legs work, how are they connected to your bones, and I will teach you how to use the knowledge in your everyday movements for a healthy and functional walk.

 

SCOLIOSIS / SPINE

Scoliosis is an abnormal curvature of the spine that most often occurs side-to-side, C shape, or S shape. This affects your posture and balance and very often results in lower back pain. It can occur at any age. The abnormal curvature creates pressure on your nerves and can cause weakness and numbness. Exercises that strengthen your back muscles may help reduce your pain.

 

HYPERLORDOSIS

Poor posture is one of the most common causes of hyperlordosis. In a seated position muscles in the lumbar area can tighten too much as they try to stabilize and support the spine column. This gradually pulls the spine out of alignment causing increased curving of the spine. I suggest this class not only for adults with jobs that require them to sit for extended periods of time, but also for teenagers lacking a strong posture.

 

STRETCHING

This class is a great stress relief. It reduces your stress levels and helps your body, mind and muscles to be more relaxed. Stretching improves flexibility, posture and helps your circulation. This class is set to music that will enhance your physical well-being from head to toes. If you like running, we can adjust the stretching exercises to suit your lifestyle and we can do a specialized class for runners.

 

FOOT WORK

Pay attention to your feet! Working out your foot, ankle and calf muscles develops patience. We can work on gout and rheumatism and it can help with hemorrhoids too. Class includes many different exercises from your hips to your toes.

 

PREGNANCY

Knowing how to exercise correctly while your body  is changing is an important part of your pregnancy. Class includes comprehensive Pilates pregnancy routine in all 3 trimesters. We will work on your strength and balance in the second trimester. We will be using chairs and fit-balls for support. We will help you relieve pain and stretch your muscles and after your pregnancy we can work on building your core to be strong and healthy again. It is very important to consult your physician prior to signing up for this class in order to understand how the Pilates method may affect you and your baby. 

 

HIP PROBLEMS

In this class we will analyze and find the reason why your hips are bothering you. We will analyze your posture balance, walk and everyday movements to learn how to help your hips feel better. This class is for all ages. so don't be afraid, we can do it together.

 

SLOUCH POSTURE

Often times slouching posture has a psychological cause. In this class you will learn what is affecting your muscles, what makes them short and weak. We will work on your self confidence. I can show you fun exercises that will fix your slouch posture and will keep your body strong, healthy and in good shape.

 

KNEE PROBLEMS

This is a specialized class for students with knee problems because of an accident or surgery. We will focus mostly on the knees but we will work on other parts of your lower extremities as well. The leg has to support the knee. We will also work on stretching, we will be using props and we will make sure to make your knees stronger.

 

SHOULDER PROBLEMS

Exercising, stretching, building strength with gentle movements focused on your shoulder. Shoulder is a complex joint with a lot of muscles surrounding it that needs that extra focus. I will help you bring back the confidence you once had in your shoulders. We will also pay attention to chest muscles and upper extremities in general to give your shoulder the extra support it needs. 

 

MAT WORK

This class can be divided into two parts. First part is Mat Work only and the second one is Mat Work with equipment. These classes will work on all your muscles beginning with simple exercises and positions and working your way up as your strength and flexibility improves. The class will be following the Eight principles of Pilates Technique. We will focus on muscles that other techniques can not target.

 

FIT BALL

Pilates Fusion helps build a strong core from which one can transition into new positions and exercises. This flow centers around control and precision, with a diversity of exercises and modifications to suit a range of levels from beginner to advanced. Pilates Fusion is a course that feels good and fits with every healthy lifestyle.

 

SPIRAL

Spiral movement class focuses on mobility and flexibility to help you maintain healthy and coordinated body. Spiral class is not directly related to Pilates, but as a healthy movement class it benefits your Pilates practice. It is a workout program set to inspiring and motivational music. This energizing workout follows different choreographies focused on your progress in dynamic stretching and stability.

 

DANCE

Pilates Fusion helps build a strong core from which one can transition into new positions and exercises. This flow centers around control and precision, with a diversity of exercises and modifications to suit a range of levels from beginner to advanced. Pilates Fusion is a course that feels good and fits with every healthy lifestyle.

 

BALANCE

In this class I can teach you how to improve your balance to feel more stable and secure. We will learn simple strategies and movements to help you prevent falls, we will improve your reaction time and we will work on your ability to recognize unstable positions. This class will make you feel more comfortable and secure in your everyday activities.

 

STEP AEROBIC

We will be stepping on, over and around the adjustable step to the beat of energetic music. It's a wonderful full body workout that will burn fat, build your muscles and improve your overall fitness. This can be a low or high intensity class depending on your current abilities. We will work on your abs, upper body strength and we will utilize stretching as well.

 

ZUMBA FOR BEGINNERS

In this class we will learn the basic Zumba movements. We will follow simple steps. Zumba is easy to learn and once you master the basics you can add your personality into the movement. You won't be afraid to move on to the advance class once you completed this course.

 

FULL BODY GYMNASTICS

This class is focused on building your workout habits. You will tone your body and you will improve your coordination, strength and range of movement. The class will take your daily routine activities, incorporate them into the workout and show you how to perform them correctly. That way you can get through your day using new beneficial movements and you can cut out your old habits.

 

ELASTIC RESISTANCE BANDS

This is a fun and easy class when you only want to tone and strengthen your muscles. We will be using resistance bands to get a full body workout. This is a good replacement for free weights. Bands will help your core and your lower body feel tighter and more engaged.

 

PARENTS & TODDLERS
